Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Overview

Toolseza ("we", "us", "our") operates the website toolseza.com. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

Our core principle: we collect as little data as possible. The majority of tools on Toolseza run entirely in your browser — no data is transmitted to our servers.

Browser-Local Processing

Most tools — including calculators, text tools, image tools, PDF tools and developer utilities — process your data entirely within your browser using JavaScript. This means:

  • Your inputs, files and results never leave your device
  • We cannot access, read or store any data you enter into these tools
  • No server-side processing occurs for these tools

Tools that process data locally are marked with a "Processed locally in your browser" badge.

Tools That Use External Services

A small number of tools require fetching live data from external APIs. Currently this includes:

  • Currency Converter — fetches live exchange rates from a third-party provider

These tools are not marked with the local-processing badge. The relevant third-party provider may have their own privacy practices; we encourage you to review those where applicable.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to store:

  • Favorite tools — tool IDs you have starred for quick access
  • Recently used tools — a list of up to 8 recently opened tool IDs
  • Theme preference — whether you prefer light, dark, or system default mode

This data is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time by visiting the Favorites page or clearing your browser's localStorage.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Railway) may collect standard server access logs including IP addresses, browser user-agent, and pages visited. These are used for security monitoring and performance diagnostics. We do not use these logs to identify or track individual users.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how many people visit Toolseza and which tools are popular. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are not stored in full by Google Analytics 4.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you choose Consent in the consent message shown on your first visit. If you do not consent, Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless signals (Google Consent Mode) that cannot identify you. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

Toolseza is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC, to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's previous visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Toolseza and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising cookies are only enabled if you choose Consent in that message. If you do not consent, any ads shown are limited to non-personalised ads. Visitors anywhere can turn off personalised ads at any time in Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential — browser localStorage for your theme, favourites and your settings. These never leave your device.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga). Where the law requires it, only with your consent.
  • Advertising — cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners. Where the law requires it, only with your consent.

You can change your choice at any time: . You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your Rights Under GDPR (UK & EU Visitors)
